Awakened Evolution exists to guide men through the noise of ideology, surface-level self-help, and spiritual bypassing — into true self-actualization, embodied leadership, and collective evolution.
I didn’t start this work because I had it figured out.
I started it because I didn’t. And the cost of not having it figured out became too high to ignore.
I grew up in Tasmania, left as soon as I could, and spent years travelling and searching for something I couldn’t name. Meaning, depth, truth. The sense that there was more to life than what I’d been shown, and that someone, somewhere, had found it.
That search took me to India. To a Tantric yoga school that had all the answers. A teacher who seemed to embody everything I was looking for. A community that felt, for the first time, like home.
I gave six years to that path. My time, my money, my identity, my belief. I told other people it was the way. I built my sense of self around it.
And slowly, I started seeing things I didn’t want to see.
The way the teacher operated. The dynamics of control dressed up as devotion. The unspoken rule that questioning anything was a sign of your own spiritual failing, never theirs. The slow, suffocating tightening of something that had once felt like freedom.
For a long time I didn’t let myself see it. Because seeing it meant admitting that the foundation I’d built my life on wasn’t what it claimed to be. That’s not a small thing to look at. It’s not just “I was wrong about a teacher.” It’s everything. Who you are, what you believe, what you’ve given years of your life to.
Eventually I couldn’t not see it anymore.
Around the same time, my relationship with Nathalie, the woman I love and who is now my partner, was in crisis. Because I’d been lying to her. Not once, not a single mistake, but a sustained pattern of dishonesty that ran for years underneath a version of myself I was performing for everyone around me, including her.
When it came out, everything collapsed at once. The community. The identity. The relationship. The story I’d been telling about who I was.
That was the real initiation.
Not the six years inside something that looked like enlightenment. The moment it all fell apart and I was left with nothing to hide behind. Just the truth of what I’d done, what I’d been, and the question of whether I was willing to actually look at it.
I was.
Nathalie and I left the community together. We rebuilt the relationship from the ground up, not by pretending what happened hadn’t happened, but by going all the way into it. The honesty. The accountability. The slow, unglamorous work of becoming someone who could actually be trusted.
Out of that period came the work I do now.
I didn’t build this from a certification or a training programme. I built it from living through exactly what the men I work with are going through. The relational collapse, the identity breakdown, the confrontation with your own shadow, the painstaking process of rebuilding something real on the other side of it.
I’ve since worked with over 200 men privately. Thousands more through retreats, men’s groups, and the Awakened Evolution podcast. And what I keep seeing, in every man I work with, is the same gap.
Not a lack of intelligence. Not a lack of desire. A lack of tools. A lack of map. A lack of anyone who has actually been through the territory and can walk alongside you in it without flinching.
That’s what I offer. Not theory. Not borrowed frameworks dressed up as wisdom. What I actually lived, integrated, and learned to transmit to other men.
This work will ask something real of you. Honesty, mostly. The kind that’s uncomfortable. The kind that doesn’t make you look good even to yourself.
But on the other side of that honesty is something most men never find.
A life that’s actually yours. A relationship built on truth. A self you don’t have to perform.
That’s what this is for.
